Mutant, in partnership with Milan Records and Sony Pictures, proudly present the premiere vinyl release of the debut American film score by legendary composer Joe Hisaishi for A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, directed by Kogonada.

Long revered for his iconic collaborations with Studio Ghibli, Hisaishi makes his long-awaited American film score debut with a sweeping, emotionally rich composition that perfectly complements this earnest, heart-on-its-sleeve romantic drama. Evoking the delicate intimacy of scores like Amélie (composed by Yann Tiersen), Hisaishi’s work here is tender, melodic, and deeply cinematic.

The album also features five performances by Grammy® Award-winning singer-songwriter Laufey, alongside a stunning cover of “Let My Love Open The Door” by Mitski, originally written by Pete Townshend.
