The fictional band Daisy Jones & The Six is based on the popular group from Taylor Jenkins Reid's bestselling novel of the same name, which comes to life in the Prime Video series of the same name. The album Aurora is brought to life by the cast of the series, with Riley Keough in the role of Daisy Jones and Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne. The remaining band members are portrayed by Suki Waterhouse, Will Harrison, Josh Whitehouse, and Sebastian Chacon. So, both on-screen and off-screen, they form Daisy Jones & The Six. The songs are produced by GRAMMY-nominated writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Blake Mills (Bob Dylan, John Legend, Alabama Shakes). Additionally, Marcus Mumford, Phoebe Bridgers, and Jackson Browne, among others, have also contributed to the album.
