The Hollywood Sound is an album by legendary composer John Williams, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Williams himself. This album includes a collection of some of the best Academy Award winning scores of all time. It features works by Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Herbert Stothart, Alan Menken, Miklós Rózsa and John Barry amongst others. It also features some of William's own Academy Award winning scores, including "Star Wars", "Jaws" and "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial". On this album, Williams collaborated with American jazz-funk and soul-jazz saxophonist and Grammy Award winner Grover Washington Jr.


The Hollywood Sound is available as an At The Movies Shop exclusive edition of 200 individually numbered copies on crystal clear vinyl and includes an insert with liner notes by Sneak Preview's Michael Medved.
